Finding Time to Blog

I have had so much on my plate recently that I have neglected my blog, however today I am making some time. I have taken on some new responsibility's in the last month and time to craft has been chipped away, this creative time is sorely missed, yet when I do get in there, I go blank... I did make this card for some friends last month after they adopted a little girl.

Robot Birthday

Well, it was a nice rainy cool day here, that was so amazing, especially in July in New Mexico! Anyway, my craft room was bearable- temp wise- so I made up some boys birthday cards. My nephew is turning five soon, so I started with one with a 5 on it. I found these adorable robot stickers at my LCS, they caught my eye with their cuteness! Love them!

Counting Blessings

This week has been a challenge financially and I have been tempted to sulk about it, but I looked through my stamps and saw the Add to your Joy stamp, and decided to make a card with it and count my blessings instead of the blows to the bank account. I do have a lot to be thankful for... my family and friends most of all!

Back in the Craft Room

Wow, it has been a whole month since I last posted! June was extremely busy, I was craft lady at Vacation Bible School, that involved a week of heavy duty prep, followed by a week of crafts with 70 kids, I can't believe I am saying this- but I was crafted out! So I went to Las Vegas with my husband for a week! That was fun, but I caught a cold while there and have just recovered. Had to get back into the crafting mode yesterday as my swap groups cards were due, so I cleared off some space and got to work. This morning I woke up at 6:30 and decided to make a card with the leftovers from the swap. The theme this month was vintage, so I used some background paper that reminded me of old fabric and distressed it with a distressing ink pad. I also added old looking lace and some buttons. I am not sure if that is "vintage" but it is my take on that theme!

Yeah Summer!

The weather is so nice right now, I am just going to praise God for this beautiful world!

I did get up early this morning and make a card while it was still cool in my craft room, I paired up Whimsy paper from Making Memories with this adorable butterfly sticker from K and Co as a background for this wonderful scripture! Loving the bright summery colors of the Whimsy line. I also went outside and admired my new trees, they are doing well, I think!

I had such a nice relaxing day yesterday, I took some time to play with a new stamp set from CTMH ( and use up some scraps from the teacher project). It was a beautiful day, the temp was only 75', and as my craft room has no AC vents or windows that open, it was a perfect day to be in there! Am still playing with the new camera, I cant seem to get a good close up....

Last of School

My kids are out of school for the summer as of Friday the 22nd, not sure if that is a good thing or ? For the last day at the elementary I put together some teacher gifts because I really appriciate my sons teachers!

Each received a mini clipboard/notepad and a co-ordinating set of notecards, I got out my new 8 x8 My Minds Eye paper pads for both of these!
