In the Mail Today....

I received a card from my friend Christine that I want to share, her husband lost his job in november. Christine has a good attitude though, and made this card, it included a poem on the inside about looking on the bright side and being hopeful. She is such an inspiration!!!!!!! She stamped the boots and cut them out, they are layered on help wanted ads.

Baby Shower

Its been a few days since I last posted, sick kids, 75 degree days, who has time to stamp (or wants to be inside when the weather is so perfect) ! But I have to go to a baby shower tomorrow and am down to one baby card and it is for a girl and the new baby is going to be a boy, SO I sat down and worked on a couple of baby cards, since I am doing one I might as well make several!

I used photo stickers by Pebbles of baby feet and hands, so cute!

Sorry! Just relized I forgot to turn those pics, sorry you are looking sideways!

Finally got to my Making Memories paper called Chloes Closet, am excited about this paper! Very cute, easy to work with and my favorite colors! I may have to go get some more and the accessories that go with it... thanks for the brads Molly!

Bird Cards

I have a set of stamps I purchased last month that has been calling me, especially the birds in the set. The set is from Autumn Leaves. I stamped the birds on patterned card stock and paper and cut them out and placed them on a hill made of more patterned paper. The birds make me feel happy and relaxed.

My Little Stamper

My youngest needed valentines for his school party on Friday, so I asked which cartoon he wanted on them and where we should buy them from.... he got a pained expression on his face and said "We HAVE to MAKE them". Oh stink, I remember this from last year, WE means ME. So I got out the cuttlebug and cut twenty five cats and dogs, but I sat him down to help with the stamping this time. I guess a year makes a differance, he stamped all the sentiments and wrote his name with out taking off once. I love his craftiness! And his cute little face!

Frames

I received a order last week for two frames, like the ones I sold at Christmas. One was for a Teenage girl, and the other she just said scripture.

Shaped Paper

So I am still playing with the Making Memories paper from Target, since it is shaped on all four sides it is a little challenging. With these two cards, the patterned cardstock is the front of the card, I wrapped it around a piece of cardstock.

Trip to Michaels

So yesterday I took my daughter to an interview at the University and took andvantage of getting to go to the "big city" and go shopping! Of course I went to Target, and Michaels Craft Store. I got a pack of paper at Target, but the picking were slim there, I think they may not be carrying craft supplies much longer, since so much of there supplies were on clearance. I then headed over to michaels, where I had better luck. I found some very cute stamps in the dollar bin, three birds and one saying. Paper Pads were also on sale so I got three new ones. I made this card today with the Target paper from Making Memories, and one of the dollar bird stamps from Michaels, the rest of the stuff was from my stash.

Secret Stamper Project

I spent this morning finishing up the secret valentine swapper project, I was to send a card, 10 bucks in supplies, a snack and a non card project. This was a lot of fun, picking out things to send and making the non card project, I wanted to make some thing that tied into V-day, but would be alright for the rest of the year also. I found this adorable bucket in the garden isle ( in red for the holiday), I used my crop-o-dile to punch the holes on the top (it went right through!) inserted the brads and flowers. I lined the back with black ribbon to hide the brads, using Tacky Tape. I then made tiles with matching products and my friends name, which I attached with double sticky tape. Finished up with some ribbon on the handle and a love to stamp tag. I put the craft supplies in the bucket, so cute!
